"The greatest rapper of all time died on March 9"...The famous words uttered by Canibus on his LL Cool J diss track, "2nd Round Knock Out". While that line can be argued, Biggie is definitely up there with all the greats, and a staple on Top 10 lists everywhere. Being born and raised in Brooklyn, Biggie has an irreplaceable spot in my heart, he represented the rags to riches, struggle to glamour story perfectly, while keeping it real the whole time. On the latest feature of "Get Familiar" I present to you one of my personal favorites, "Sucidal Thoughts". The story behind this song is that Biggie came into the studio high and preceded to spit this infamous verse. Before the Eminem's or Joe Budden's of the world, Biggie touched the tender topic of suicide, before it gained mainstream attraction. Listen below, and Rest in peace Christopher Wallace, I wouldn't want to live in a world of Hip-Hop where you never existed.
