Doley Bernays - Till We Fall (Music Video)

Directed by Kwaz "Scriptz" Fraser, Reelife's Doley Bernays just dropped this video in promotion for his new EP, Just In Case. The song is produced by frequent collaborator and labelmate MP Williams (Co-producer of A$AP Rocky's "Ghetto Symphony"), who's avant garde style complements Bernays' contemplative lyrics.

Grandmilly - 12 AM (Music Video)

Raider Klan's Grandmilly recently dropped this cool video for "12 AM", off of his The Miseducation EP. The project has the Hempstead, Long Island native rapping over instrumentals that all sample songs from the soundtrack for "The Education of Sonny Carson". If you like what you hear, be sure to download his album, Amerikkka The Beautiful, which is the rapper's most varied project to date, in terms of utilizing different flows and instrumental styles (A few songs even have an early 2000's Neptunes feel).

SkyBlew - StandAloneBelievingInDecember (Music Video)

Alabama native/North Carolina transplant SkyBlew releases this interesting visual project, comprised of verses from "Stand Alone Complex", "Something to Believe In" and "Gone Til December", from Life In 3rd Person, The Marvelous Slumber, and Window Seat On That Midnight Train, respectively. The Latter was one of my favorite albums of 2013,  and Gone Till December is definitely one of my favorite tracks off of the album, so it's good to see it get some shine. According to Mr. Blew, this video is meant to not only showcase his various projects, but to also show how "each project correlates with the next..".

Lil B - 05 Fuck Em (Mixtape)

2013 was a somewhat slow year for the BasedGod, having released only a few mixtapes, but part of the reason was he was working on this massive 101-song mixtape, 05 Fuck Em, which he's been promoting since at least August. Overall I really enjoyed this mixtape, which gives off the vibe of a thug fed up with the ills of the world, hence the "Fuck Em" part of the title. The "05" refers to a substantial amount of the non-original portions of the tape using instrumentals from the mid-2000's. I was surprised that while the tape starts to drag near the end (around the 70's & 80's), overall, the enormous project is surprisingly enjoyable for such an incredibly long listen (6+ Hours). The main reason for this is that Lil B really pulls out all the stops on this tape, and keeps things fresh by using a lot of different styles on this tape, and he doesn't clump a particular style together for the tracklisting. An introspective song will be followed by a cooking anthem over a trap instrumental, followed by a freestyle, followed by a "more lyrical" song, etc. Another thing I really like about this tape is the usage of Dipset instrumentals for a lot of the freestyles, which I love. Not only does it show his appreciation for one of my favorite groups, but I like hearing the BasedGod's different take on a lot of the beats. My guess is that this Diplomats influence is the reason for the American flag on the cover, referencing Diplomatic Immunity. Overall, 05 Fuck Em is a must-have rare collectible for any Lil B Fan, and is probably his best overall work since White Flame. Download here

Killer Mike - Ghetto Gospel (Music Video)

Killer Mike recently released the music video for this song off of his critically acclaimed 2012 album, R.A.P. Music, which was entirely produced by El-P. Their 2013 album as a duo, Run The Jewels, is one of my favorite albums of last year.
