Big K.R.I.T. - Lac Lac Feat. A$AP Ferg (#WeekOfKRIT 1-3)

On Day 3 of Big K.R.I.T.'s Week Of K.R.I.T., the Mississippi rapper/producer links up with The Fergenstein for a layed-back banger, and like much of K.R.I.T.'s music, it sounds like it was made specifically for driving around. I was SUPER hyped about this, considering both Krizzle & Ferg are two of my favorite current artists, and they didn't disappointed. Download/Stream all of the Week Of K.R.I.T. songs currently released below:

#3: Lac Lac Feat. A$AP Ferg:

Atmosphere - Bitter (Audio Stream)

Bitter is the first single from Atmosphere's 8th official studio album, Southsiders, out May 6th.

A$AP Rocky - Riot Rave Feat. Baauer

Under his production pseudonym Lord Flvcko, A$AP Rocky releases the video for the first single off of his upcoming instrumental album, Beauty And The Beast: Slowed Down Sessions Ch. 1. The track was co-produced by Baauer, and the video features A$AP Mob's infamous "rioting", which has gotten them in trouble with the law more than once. With the current events that are happening across the globe, this video gains some extra resonance. Check out the album artwork below.

BONES - TeenWitch (Album)

Th@ Kid's newest album is an eerie one, to say the least. Every song covers the topic of teenage angst in one way or another, with many referencing the way-too-real topics of school shootings and suicide. Sonically, Bones does more of what he does best, which is go back and forth between dark, atmospheric hip-hop tracks and Screamo-inspired rock songs, sometimes mixing both. This album also sees more of a late-90's indie scene influence as well, which keeps in line with the music of a time when school shootings were at an all-time high. Although musically, the album is a solid piece of work, it makes me as a listener wonder what Bones' intentions were. If the goal is to creep me out (which falls in line with much of Bones' work), then mission accomplished, although you have to wonder at what cost. If the goal is to speak to those who have these dark thoughts in an effort to make them feel like they can relate, then I guess that goal was also achieved. I have a feeling it's a bit of both.

Grandmilly - Tommy Hilfiger

After releasing his great Amerikkka The Beutiful album & The Miseducation EP, Grandmilly is back at it again with the self-produced "Tommy Hilfiger". No word yet about whether this is just a loosie or part of a larger project, but either way, new Grandmilly music is always a good thing.
